Task Force on Connecting the Veterinary Health Record to Information Resources
See the Committees page for the Task Force Charge and Current Members. For more information, contact Task Force Chair Kristine Alpi.
History
In 2009, the Veterinary Medical Libraries Section of the Medical Library Association launched a Task Force on Connecting the Veterinary Health Record to Information Resources to investigate and promote the linking of knowledge resources to Electronic Health Records. This group connected with the American Animal Hospital Association’s Electronic Health Records Task Force to learn about vendor capacity and interest.
Current Projects
Connecting knowledge resources and practice software systems requires available content that could be beneficial at point of care. From the task force and the VETLIB-L list participants, we elicited an initial list of content in July 2010. Thank you to all who shared resource suggestions and if you have further suggestions of content providers who could be contacted about the possibilities of linkage with veterinary record systems, please send them to the Chair of the Task Force.
